$10 Cat and Kitten Adoptions

$10 Cat and Kitten Adoptions going on NOW!

Statistics show that cats are the most popular pet in the United States. Each year we see a massive influx of cats and kittens entering our facility around the spring, summer and fall months. To combat this increase in intake we are offering discounted adoption fees in the hopes of placing more cats in forever homes.

The $10.00 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, feline leukemia testing, and a free bag of cat or kitten food. The adoption also includes 30 days of free pet health insurance provided by 24 PetWatch Pet Insurance. All adoption policies and thorough match-making procedures will remain in effect.

We also offers Feral Cat Spay/Neuter services to residents of Butler County for just $25.00 which includes a rabies vaccination. A feral cat is one that cannot be handled by humans and must be trapped to be brought in. If the community does not spay/neuter them they will continue to reproduce and increase the already overpopulated cat community. Once trapped and spayed/neutered, they are re-released so they can continue to live out their lives while not increasing the cat population. Appointments must be scheduled with AFHS and are available Thursdays and Fridays each week.

If there isn’t room at home for a fabulous feline, there is another way to help. AFHS is always seeking volunteers who are interested in socializing their furry friends while they wait for a forever home. Volunteers can help on their own time with no schedule. They can come out once a month, a week etc. The more they help the better! Animal Friends just asks for a 4 hour commitment per month and that volunteers are 16 years of age or older. To find out when the next volunteer orientation is, give us a call at 513-867-5727.
