Animal Friends 5K & Dog Jog
For years, the Animal Friends 5K & Dog Jog has brought together runners, walkers, dog lovers, families, and community supporters for one of our favorite fundraising events of the year.
This event is more than a race. It is a fun, feel-good way to support the lifesaving work happening every day at Animal Friends Humane Society. Every registration, sponsorship, donation, and cheer from the sidelines helps provide food, shelter, medical care, enrichment, and second chances for animals in need.
Whether you are racing for a personal best, walking with friends, joining the Dog Jog with your pup, or simply coming out to support the shelter, you are helping make a difference for homeless animals in our community.
Join Us for This Year’s Event
The 4th Annual Animal Friends 5K & Dog Jog presented by Traincroft will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Waterworks Park in Fairfield.
The morning includes a chip-timed 5K run/walk, a relaxed 1.5-mile Dog Jog, snacks, Flubs ice cream treats and pup cups, sponsor giveaways, and the chance to meet adoptable dogs through the Petmobile.
